Olively soaps carry on the traditions of the pre-industrial artisanal craft from the region of Old Troy, Turkey. They are made in a small factory with a wood-fired furnace that heats the olive oil in a large vat. Once it is refined into soap and the lye rinsed out, it is dressed with all natural essential oils and extruded and hand-cut by a coterie of Turkish women. While still warm, the soap is shaped in dies where it cools and is then wrapped. A small hunchback on the premises ensures the quality of composition and consistency of fragrance. Eschewing glycerin, artificial fillers, dyes, and fragrances, Olively Soaps brings a lasting and comforting cleansing experience to the discerning consumer.
